Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #133- Stripes

Hello, today sees the start of a new fortnightly challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and more. The challenge this time around is hosted by Leslie and she would like to see stripes on your projects.

For my card I used some papers from Kanban's 'Vintage Tapestry'. I have taken four different background papers and cut them into diagonal strips in varying widths. I inked the edges with 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink and glued them onto a fifth square of patterned paper to create my background design. I then stamped a sentiment from Hobby Art with 'Walnut Stain' onto the raised paper panel. I also added some damask ribbon and lace. The butterfly has been cut from one of the sheets of paper and colour has been added with Copic markers and 'Crackle Accents' applied. I have finished the card by adding some tiny gems from my stash.

I hope you like my interpretation of this weeks theme, and please take the time to pop on over to my fellow Design Team blogs to check out their fabulous creations.
            Sally.

Gorgeous card Sally! Wonderful choice of papers, the different thickness of the stripes of them work brilliantly together. The focal point of just the sentiment, lovely ribbon and lace is perfect. Debra x
