February 12 Tags of 2015

Hi, today it's time for my attempt at Tim Holtz's February Tag, his version can be found here on his blog.  I didn't have all of the materials that Tim used, and as how the theme for this tag was the love of making things, I have improvised and included some of my favourite things to craft with. I have used the heart die, which is one of my new favourites and some lace and pearls. I couldn't find where I had put my felt, so I decided to make a flower from some scraps of fabric and wadding. This also incorporates my love for patchwork quilting that I first started last year and adore. I also used a heart shaped quilting pin to which I added some alphabet beads and a flower charm. I hope you like my take on the February Tag.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #133- Stripes

Hello, today sees the start of a new fortnightly challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and more. The challenge this time around is hosted by Leslie and she would like to see stripes on your projects.

For my card I used some papers from Kanban's 'Vintage Tapestry'. I have taken four different background papers and cut them into diagonal strips in varying widths. I inked the edges with 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink and glued them onto a fifth square of patterned paper to create my background design. I then stamped a sentiment from Hobby Art with 'Walnut Stain' onto the raised paper panel. I also added some damask ribbon and lace. The butterfly has been cut from one of the sheets of paper and colour has been added with Copic markers and 'Crackle Accents' applied. I have finished the card by adding some tiny gems from my stash.

I hope you like my interpretation of this weeks theme, and please take the time to pop on over to my fellow Design Team blogs to check out their fabulous creations.

With Love Tag

Hello, today I have a love themes tag to share with you today, as it is Valentines day. For this tag I have used Cheery- Lynn dies to cut the wings and flourishes. The heart was cut using a Marianne Designs die from patterned paper, before being torn apart and being stuck onto another heart cut from white card. I then pierced some holes and added the stitching. The sentiment, Paris stamp, postmark and musical note stamps are from my stash and the wire stamp is from Hobby Arts- Cockadoodledoo stamp set. The papers are from Craftstyle and I have also used 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink for edging and stamping. The flowers were made using paper clay and a silicone mould and the key and lock brads are from Creative Expressions. The ribbon and lace are from my stash, as are the pearls and Stickles. Hope you like my tag.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #132- Love, Love, Love

Hello, today sees the start of the new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and more. The theme this fortnight is Love, so we would like to see your Love, Romance, Valentines, Wedding, or Engagement themed cards.

For my card I have used some Marianne Designs Craftables dies to cut the heart frames and aperture in the card. The papers I have used are from a 'Paper Maker' pad from Craftstyle and I have also used some white and cream card stock. I used some tag stamps and a sentiment from Inkadinkado to create the tags. The heart lock is a stamp that was floating around my stamp box. All stamps have been stamped with 'Rich Cocoa' Memento ink and I also used this ink to edge all my papers. The leaf flourish is a die from Cheery- Lynn and I have also used some wired gems. The roses have been made using paper clay and a mould, and they have had some 'Pearl Moon' gilding wax added to the petals. The ribbon, twine, pearls and Cherub charm are from my stash.

I hope you like my interpretation of this theme, and take a look at my fellow Design Team members blogs as they have made some beautiful projects. Bye for now.

January 12 Tags Of 2015

Hello, I really enjoyed making those Autumn Leaves tags yesterday, so much in fact that I couldn't wait to make another tag, so I have decided to have a go at Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015 challenge.  I only had the printed tissue, Distress Paint and Distress Stain that he used to create his tag, which can be found on his blog. My version, isn't too far from the original, but I didn't have any of the Chitchat stickers, so I made my own, and I also made my own numbers and arrow from three layers of Grunge paper that I stuck together. And instead of the paint and Krylon pen, I used a bit too much Fran'tage.
I really enjoyed making this tag too, and I am thinking I might have a go at February's tag as well.
