Thinking Of You Butterfly
Hi, today i have a card to share with you that uses the free stamp, die and embossing folder that comes with this months Papercraft Essentials Magazine Issue 170.
I started by cutting a piece of white card to measure 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. I then used some masking tape to mask off the edges. I then inked the background using 'Cracked Pistachio' and 'Peeled Paint' Distress Oxide. Then after removing the masking tape I embossed the panel, which also cut out the butterfly aperture at the same time. I then used the Green Distress Oxides along with 'Worn Lipstick' to paint the details of the embossing folder. I also added some splatters of Pearl Starlight Paint by Imagination Crafts and some details with a white gel pen.
The Butterfly was stamped and heat embossed with Silver onto vellum and cut out with the die. The second part of the sentiment was also embossed with silver onto a strip of vellum, which I wrapped around the coloured panel. The large font on was created with an Alphabet die set from The Works, which I cut out from white card and heat embossed it with the Silver powder.
I then cut two panels, one from vellum and one from patterned pink paper from my stash to measure 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. I then adhered the vellum panel underneath the main panel and added the pink paper to a 5 x 7 Kraft card base. I then added the main panel using 3D foam and added the die cut butterfly. I finished the card with some pearls in different sizes.
I hope you like this card and thanks for visiting.
Sally.x.
