The Lily Pad Pond
Hi, today I have a card to share with you that I have made with another hand drawn image.
The Frog was outlined with a 01 Black Uni Pin Pen and coloured with Warm Grey Copic's and a Tonic Nuvo blender pen for a base layer. I then added details and colour with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and white Acrylic paint for the highlights. I then added Glossy Accents to the Frog's eye and to the 'bumps' on the Frog's body. When that was dry I added some Gloss Medium all over the Frog to make him seem like he has just jumped from the water.
The background was made by adding 'Broken China', 'Tattered Rose' and 'Bundled Sage' Distress Ink to a craft mat and spraying with Pearl Mica Spray and pressing the Spectrum Noir Watercolour card into it. I then added some homemade texture paste through the Tim Holtz 'Flourish' Stencil and some stamping with the different shades of DI and the 'Textures' stamp set from Hobby Art. I finished by adding some glitter, sequins and splashes of white Acrylic Paint.
The Water Lilies were cut from white card with a die from Pinflair and coloured with 'Tattered Rose' Distress Ink. I also used a Texture stamp from Hobby Art to add a slight texture to the petals with the same Ink. I curved the petals and stuck the different sizes together and added some crushed yellow Mica Flakes for the centres.
The Lily Pads were made with paper clay, which I coloured with a touch of water colour paint. I rolled the clay out thinly and then used some Spellbinders Circle dies to cut out a basic circle. Then I used a Craft Knife to make the circles into more of a Lily Pad shape, curved the edges and added some embossing with an embossing stylus. When dry I added some 'Bundled Sage' Distress Ink to the tops to reveal the texture.
