Venice Carnival

Hi, today sees the start of the first challenge of 2015 at Crafty Cardmakers and More. The theme this time around is Something Old and Something New.

For the New elements on my card I have used a new digi stamp from The Paper Shelter called 'Venice Carnival', which I have coloured with Copic markers and white and gold gel pens. The background papers are also new and are again from The Paper Shelter, 'Distinguished' 6 x 6 digital paper collection. I printed these papers onto some off- white card, which gave them a more vintage feel. The sentiment was also printed. The gold framework was cut from white card using my Silhouette and gold Gilding wax was applied. I also cut a base for this from Kraft card. For my Old elements I made some roses from some old air dry clay, which had started to dry out in its container and some old lace and gems from my stash. The leaves for the roses were hand cut from some tiny scraps of Core'dinations card and I also used some Glossy Accents and Stickles.

I hope you like my take on this challenge.
    Sally.
