Monochromatic Father's Day
Hello, today I have a Fathers Day card to share with you. I don't really make any Father's Day cards, I think this being only the second one I have ever made. I didn't want an overly fussy sentiment so I opted just to stamp Dad in the corner.
The main image stamp is from an A5 stamp sheet by Kanban 'By The Sea' and has been stamped with Black Archival Ink and water coloured gently with 'Black Soot' Distress Ink. I then added some Glossy Accents to the water, lighthouse and Sun. I then used two Spellbinders Nesting dies to cut out the image and frame. The main image is raised on 3D Foam.
The backing paper was made by stamping the compass and anchor stamps that also come on the Kanban stamp sheet. I also used a swirly flourish stamp that is from Inkadinkado and a script stamp that was from a stamp sheet I bought from my local supermarket and all were stamped with Black Archival Ink. I also heat embossed a flourish design over the background using clear Versamark Ink, Pearl Stampendous Embossing Powder and the Flourish mask from Tim Holtz.
The flowers have been made by using a matching set of stamps and dies from Prickley Pear. I stamped the flowers, which have a nautical pattern on them, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I added some black Perfect Pearls to the centres and some leaves from a Crafts- Too die.
The shell, starfish and seahorse are clay embellishments that I painted with a white ZIG Woodcraft marker and added 'Black Soot' over to reveal the detail.
The sentiment is from Woodware and the bird also came included on the Kanban stamp sheet. I have added some white ribbon, a triple bow and some lace. I have also used some black Core'dination card stock.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly- Something For The Boys
Fantasy Stampers- Father's Day
Love To Scrap!- Male Call
Frilly And Funkie- Monochromatic
I hope you like my Father's Day card and thanks for taking the time to visit.
