Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #140- Stitching

Hello, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and more. This fortnights challenge is to make a project that uses some stitching or faux.

For my card I have used an oriental stamp set that came as the free gift with this months Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine. I stamped the images onto watercolour card with Archival ink and painted them with Spectrum Aqua Markers. I cut a frame from Kraft card and added some pink floral patterned paper before piercing two rows of hole around the frame. I then used some green embroidery floss to Cross Stitch around the frame. I then cut out the fan and some cherry blossom that I had stamped and coloured and attached them around the frame. Both of the backing papers I have used also came free with a magazine, but I can't remember which one, but they are a sample of Do Craft's new designs. I finished the card with a Thank you sentiment that also came with the stamp set and some crystal glitter.

I hope you like my card, and please take the time to visit my fellow DT's blogs to check out their beautiful cards.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:Creative Inspirations- Pastel Shades

  6. So lovely Sally! Such a wonderful design and your colouring of the images is really delicate. You've definitely used the free stamps and papers to their very best.
I enjoyed seeing your brilliant creations on the Hobby Art show on Create and Craft. They were definitely the best samples on there and I was so happy to hear them praising your work. You must feel great as you should! Debra x
