Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #150- Autumn Colours
Hello, well I can't believe where the past month has gone. It seems like only yesterday that I posted my last card. Today sees the start of the new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and more and this time around Jackie is our host and she has chosen the theme of Autumn Colours.
For my card I started with some of the backing paper which is from Joy Crafts 'Owls Field' 6 x 6 paper pad. I used Versamark ink and some 'Enchanted Gold' embossing powder from Papermania to add some shimmer to the edges and stamped one of the large leaf stamps with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink over the background.
I used a Spellbinders circle die to cut the frame out of the middle of the paper and added the leaf frame. The leaves, lamp post and pumpkins were all stamped with Versamark onto Kraft Card and embossed with either gold or copper embossing powders from Stampendous. I then used Twinkling H2O's to colour them before cutting out.
The owl was cut from another sheet of the backing papers and decoupaged over the top corner, and Glossy Accents applied to the eyes and beak. The sentiment was embossed with copper onto another patterned paper from the same paper pad and the pearls were coloured with a Copic marker to match the card.
I hope you like my take on this fortnights theme and please check out my fellow DT's blogs as they have made some gorgeous projects.
Thanks for stopping by.
