Monarch Butterflies
Hi, today I have a card to share with you that uses some of the beautiful butterfly stamps from Hobby Art. I have stamped the butterflies with Archival Black Ink onto Crafters Companion watercolour card, then painted them with Spectrum Aqua markers (brilliant pens). I then added a coat of DoCrafts Artiste 'Glitter Varnish' over the top. The patterned paper was made with a Tim Holtz stencil 'Latticework', some more watercolour card and my Aqua markers. The crackle effect background was made by applying a coat of gold acrylic paint to some plain card and drying. I then added a coat of DoCrafts Artiste 'Crackle Medium' and a thick covering of Artiste 'Blanc' paint and dried with my heat tool. The scalloped circle is a Spellbinders die and the scalloped border and ribbon border have been cut with an old Marriane Designs die. The lace is new and from my local craft shop and the buttons, ribbon and pearls are from my stash. The card is 6 1/2 square.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hope you like my first attempt with the Spectrum Aqua markers, I really enjoyed using them, they are lovely to use.
Sally.
