Hobby Horse Boy
Hi, today I have a card to share with you that uses an image from the 'Summer Daze' art book from Hobby House. I have coloured the image with Copic markers. The patterned background paper was made by running a piece of cream card stock through a damask embossing folder by Crafts- Too. I then added some 'Faded Jeans' and 'Stormy Sky' Distress Ink over the raised areas to reveal the pattern. The shabby background paper was made by painting a piece of Kraft card with a thick layer of Do Crafts Artiste 'Crackle Medium' (love this stuff). I dried this with a heat tool, then added a thick layer of Do Crafts Artiste 'Blanc' (White) Acrylic paint, then too dried this with the heat tool. I added some of the same blue Distress Inks over the top of the dried paint. The sentiment I have used is from Hobby Art's 'Birthday Collection' stamp set. I have also used some more Kraft card and Cream card stock for the layering and some satin ribbon, buttons, blue Distress Stickles and a charm and brad from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge: http://www.papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/
Hope you like this card, it was really fun to make.
