Robin Wreath
Hi, today I have a card to share with you that uses one of the wood effect backgrounds I created the other day. This is the second background that uses the original technique and the Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks, along with the Gilding waxes and Spectrum Noir pen. I have used my Silhouette to cut the wreath (which was a free shape of the week) from Core'dinations Kraft Core in two different browns. I then embossed the die cuts with a wood grain effect embossing folder and inked the embossing with Walnut Stain Distress Ink before layering together. The robin stamp is from a Craft UK stamp sheet and has been stamped with 'London Fog' Memento Ink and coloured with Copic Markers. I have used Spellbinders circle dies to cut the center piece and added a sentiment that was cut with a Cheery- Lynn die. I also used some paper from K and Company's Winter Winderland paper pad for the layering. The mini wooden snowflakes were taken from some gift wrapping ribbon that I bought from a supermarket and the little wreath charm came free with a craft magazine last year. I have finished the card with a red satin double bow and some Stickles glitter glue. The finished card is 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches.
