Hello Tulips
Hi, today I have a card to share with you that uses the free gift of stamps, dies and an embossing folder that came in Issue 213 of Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine.
The background panel was made by dabbing a piece of white card into puddles of Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides. Some splatters of gold watercolour were also added. When the ink had dried the panel was then embossed and the raised edges were then sanded back to reveal the white of the paper.
The centre circle was then cut out and a piece of vellum was added behind. The circle from the centre was then added to the card base, behind where it would have originally been. A strip of white card was embossed and added over the same place it would have been on the background panel and edged with two strips of gold mirror card.
The tulips were then cut out of white card and coloured using the Distress Oxides, with the addition of Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint for the leaves. The smallest die elements were cut out of gold mirror card. The tulips were then assembled and added to the card using glue for the leaves and stems and 3D Foam for the flowers.
The sentiment was stamped onto black card and heat embossed using gold powder. The card was then finished with an abundance of dual tones pearls.
I hope you like this card and thanks for visiting.
Sally.x.
