Lighthouse Card
Hello, today I have a card to share with you that uses the stamps, die and stencil that were included in the Phill Martin Sentimentally Yours Stamping Special 3 Magazine Kit.
The lighthouse image was stamped onto smooth white card using Desert Sand Memento Ink. Ohuhu Alcohol Markers and Arteza Expert Coloured Pencils were then used to colour the images. A white gel pen was also used for highlights.
The oval was cut once from smooth white card and once from Ruby Red card from The Papermill Direct. The waves were heat embossed with White onto the white card before the background was inked using Faded Jeans and Antique Linen Distress Oxides. Some splatters of Pearl Starlight's Metallic paint were added before stamping the Seagulls using Iced Spruce Distress Oxide. The Ruby Red frame was then added to the previous layer.
The background paper was made by first taping off each stripe with Hobby Art Maski-it. I then removed alternating strips and inked using Antique Linen Distress Oxide. The Masks were then placed back on top of the stripes that had just been inked and the other alternating masks were removed. Faded Jeans Distress Oxide was used to ink these stripes. All the masks were then removed and water was spritzed to add texture. When this had dried a grey fine liner was used to outline the anchor stencil before being inked with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide. A brown fine liner was then used to draw the outline of the rope stencil before using the Ohuhu markers to colour them. The background was finished by some more splatters of the Starlight's Paint before being added to a layer of the Ruby Red card.
The background was added to a 5 x 7 Kraft card and the oval and lighthouse were added using 3D Foam. A couple of Heat embossed waves were added to complete the scene as well as a sentiment panel using the sentiment stamps and matching die that also came included in the Magazine Kit.
I hope you like this card and thanks for stopping by.
Sally.x.
