Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #189- Floral Profusion

Hi today sees the start of the new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers. Jackie is hosting this challenge and has chosen the theme of Floral Profusion.

For my card I have used the 'Wild Roses' stamp set from Hobby Art. I stamped the images onto watercolour card with 'London Fog' Memento Ink to create a border. I used Spectrum Aqua Markers in 'Rose Pink', 'Yellow' and 'Peacock Blue' to colour the images. I added some Pearl Mica spray over the top to make the panel sparkle, before cutting out.

The background was made using DoCrafts Crackle Medium and White Acrylic pain. I then ran this through the 'trellis' embossing folder from Couture Creations and added some more Pearl Mica spray over the background. I then highlighted the embossing with a little 'Bundled Sage' Distress Ink.

The background for the sentiment was created the same way, without the embossing folder. I then stamped the sentiment from Hobby Arts 'Scene It Sentiments' stamp set and embossed with Copper. The butterflies are also from the Sentiment stamp set and have been embossed onto vellum.

I finished the card by adding glitter and gems.

I hope you like my card and please check out my fellow DT's blogs as they have some beautiful cards.

Thanks for visiting.

  6. Sally, those flowers are gorgeous! I'm feeling the need to track down that stamp... because of course I don't have enough flower stamps already, lol!! I really like the technique of using the paler colour to stamp the outline as it looks like they have been painted from scratch.
