Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #154- Snow

Hello, today sees the start of the last challenge of 2015 over at Crafty Cardmakers and more. Lin is the host for this month long challenge and she would like to see your projects that feature snow.

For my card I decided to try a new card shape for me. I don't know if this shape already has a name, but I am going to call it an aperture double gatefold card. The above picture shows the card as it is stands open to reveal the full scene.
The log cabin stamp is a stamp from Hobby Art's 'Country Walk' clear stamp set and has been stamped with London Fog ink and coloured with Copics. I also used the two tree stamps that come included in this stamp set with some Versamark Ink and decorating chalk to add some more dimension to the backing paper behind the cabin. I then cut a landscape out around the cabin and added some of Woodware's 'Fluffy Stuff' and glitter before heating to turn it into snow.
The sentiment stamp is also by Hobby Art and is from their 'Merry Little Christmas' sentiment set and has been stamped with Black Archival Ink.
The 'sky' is one sheet of 6 x 12" paper from Joy Craft's 'Be Merry' paper block. I inked the edges with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink and added clear glitter using a Quickie Glue pen.
The Birch Trees were cut using my Silhouette and have been coloured with 'Vintage Photo' and 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink I also added some white acrylic paint for more snow and doodled some leaves and vines with a black micron pen and a green gel pen.
The male deer has also been cut with my Silhouette and the rabbits, squirrels, skunk chipmunk and owl have been cut using a die from Cheery- Lynn. I then coloured the animals with Spectrum Aqua markers and details added with a black micron pen and white acrylic paint.

The left panel of the card has the male deer, a rabbit, a chipmunk and a red squirrel.

The middle panel has the log cabin, sentiment, skunk, owl and grey squirrel.

The right panel has a rabbit, chipmunk and a red squirrel.

The card fold up to fit inside  6 x 6 box, but the aperture allows you to see through to the log cabin, as though looking through a wooded area.

I hope you like my card and take on this month's Snow theme. Please check out my fellow DT''s blogs as they have made some gorgeous cards.
Thanks for taking the time to visit.

What a beautiful card! I've never seen a card shaped like this, and what hard work it must have been to create it! Love all the snow! thank you for your comment on my blog...I really appreciate it. I've been trying to visit Crafty Cardmakers, and I receive a message saying the blog is open to invited readers only. This is the first time I've gotten this message, and wonder if there is something I should know:)! Thank you for passing this information along to your blog owner.

Thanks for the comment Sara. As for the Crafty Cardmakers blog, it was offline for a few hours yesterday while some maintenance was being completed, but it is back on line again. Thanks Sally.x.
