Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 146- No Patterned Papers
Hello, today sees the start of the new fortnightly challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and more and the theme this time around is 'No Patterned Papers'.
For my card I decided to use this stamp set by Laurence Llewelyn Bowen called 'Retro Rose'. I have had this set for quite a few years now, but have only ever used the little swirl stamp, but I thought it would be perfect to use for this challenge.
I started by stamping the main image with 'Tuxedo Black' Memento ink into the bottom lefthand corner. I then applied a Sticky- Note mask over the image and masked a frame around the outside. I then stamped the border with Versamark ink and applied 'Queens Gold' embossing powder from Ranger. The Hibiscus were also embossed with 'Queens Gold'and cut out.
I coloured the Hibiscus and the image with Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils, Gamsol and Blending stumps. I added used the swirly stamp, Versamark ink and some pale gold decorating chalk to add some interest to the background. I then stamped the Hobby Art sentiment with Black Archival ink. I finished by adding some gold micro beads to the centres of the flowers.
I hope you like my interpretation of this fortnights theme and please stop by my fellow design team mates blogs and check out their gorgeous projects.
