Just Hanging Around!

Hello, today I have a card to share with you that I have made using another of my own drawn images.

I drew and and painted the Sloth on his branch using Cotman watercolours by Winsor and Newton.

I also painted some leaves that were cut using some Cheery- Lynn dies and some more tree trunks for the background.

The background panel was made with watercolour card, 'Bundled Sage', 'Cracked Pistachio' and 'Mermaid Lagoon' Distress Ink and Pearl Mica Spray.

The leafy background is actually another layer of card that was part of some perfume packaging that I re purposed and painted with Acrylic Paint.

The Hibiscus were made with vellum and a Tonic Punch and coloured with some Papermate felt tip pens. I also added some orange beads for the centres.

The Kraft card border has been embossed and 'Walnut Satin' Distress Ink added to reveal the pattern.

I hope you like this card and thanks for taking the time to visit.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #173- Autumn

Hello, today sees the start of the new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers. Mary is hosting this challenge and would like to see your Autumn themed cards.

For my card I stamped a border of leaves from Hobby Art's 'Falling Leaves' stamp set onto water colour card with 'London Fog' Memento Ink.

I then painted the leaves with Winsor and Newton Cotman watercolours using only 'Prussian Blue', 'Alizarin Crimson' and 'Cadmium Yellow' before cutting them out.

I then painted some more leaves and cut them out to form the wreath.

The background was made with a wood grain embossing folder and Kraft card, which I then used some 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink to ink over the embossed areas.

The sentiment is also a Hobby Art stamp and is from the 'Scene- it Sentiment' Set.

I hope you like my card and please check out my fellow DT's blogs as they have made some beautiful projects.

Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolour Fox

Hi, just a quick post today to show a little watercolour picture I made using stamps from Hobby Art's 'Forest Friends' stamp set.

I stamped the fox, acorn and oak leaf in 'London Fog' Memento Ink. I then used Winsor and Newton Cotman watercolours to paint the picture.

I finished by adding some white gel pen highlights and some small dots of gold Acrylic paint before placing in a cheap frame from the pound shop.

I hope you like this little picture and thanks for visiting.

Hello, today I have a card to share with you that I have had the idea for for a few months now,  but have only just been able to make it over the weekend.

The Chameleons are hand drawn with a Uni Pin Fine Liner and then coloured some shadows with some Tonic Nuvo markers and then coloured with Faber- Castell Polychromos pencils and a white gel pen.

The background and leaves were made by colouring some white card with 'Cracked Pistachio', 'Bundled Sage', 'Peeled Paint' and 'Mermaid Lagoon' Distress Inks. I then spritzed the paper with some Pearl spray that I made with a tiny bit of Inca Gold 'Platinum' and water. I cut out the leaves which are from Cheery- Lynn. I then used the 'Trellis embossing folder from Couture Creations to stamp a faint pattern onto the background with 'Cracked Pistachio' and used a stencil made from the die cut leaves to ink some more leaves onto the background and frame panel.

I added the frame on top off the background and added the Chameleons before building up the scene with the leaves. The flowers were made with a Tonic five petal flower punch, 'Wild Honey' Distress Ink and some more of the Pearl spray. I also added some little flower buttons that I have had in my stash for years and are by Trimits.

I added some Green crushed mica flakes and gel pen details to the background, frame and leaves to finish my card, which measure 6 x 8 inches.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge; Crafting By Designs- September Anything Goes

I hope you like this card, I loved making it and thanks for taking the time to visit.
