Bird Wall Hanging

Hello, today I would like to share a wall hanging that I have made using Crafty Individual Stamps and Papers. The papers are from 'Book 7' (Shades of Summer) collection. I have used a chipboard mini album from K and Co and covered three of the pages with the papers. I then painted Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint 'Picket Fence' around the edges and the back of the shapes. When the paint had dried, I then over-stamped the papers with 'Harlequin Swirl Background' and 'Springtime Music Background' with 'Frayed Burlap' Distress Ink. I then added ribbon and lace across the centres of the shape. I then stamped and embossed with Copper embossing powder a selection of the following stamps: Little Jenny Wren (Frame), Boxy Birds, Fresh Eggs and Chickens (Eggs), and Beautiful Birdcages. I then cut them out and attached them with 3D Foam. The large flowers were made using a Stamp and Die set by Prickly Pear, one of their Clearly Beautiful Stamps range 'Flowers'. The small flowers were made using a Tonic punch, then as usual I added some pearls. The charm was made using an earring finding that I took apart, then embossed in Copper and added beads to. The pieces are attached using some pearl braid that I got from my local haberdashery.
 The second section.
 The third section.
And finally the charm, sorry about the poor picture. I must have taken about twenty photo's, but this ended up being the best one. For some reason my camera didn't seem to like focusing on the charm. Each pannel measures 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and the finished piece measures 3 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Monochrome Butterfly's

Hi, today I have a monochrome card to show you. The butterfly's are from a clear Inkadinkado set that I have had for a few years, and I cant remember the name. They have been stamped and embossed with white embossing powder, as has the sentiment, which is a Cavallini stamp. The embossed panel was made using a Darice embossing folder, which came with a free magazine a few months ago. I have doodles some dots around the edge with a white gel pen, as I have temporarily misplaced my piercing tool. This card measures 5 x 7 inches.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Spring Carnival Mask

Hello, today I have a carnival mask to show you that I have decorated. The mask is a Decopatch mask, which I have painted with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence. I then painted eye-liner and eyebrows with Gold Twinkling H2O's. I then made the "pointy paper pieces" using Crafty Individuals Book 3 (Springtime) background paper pad. I then attached the ribbon and pearl string with hot glue. The birdcage is a die- cut by Prickly Pear, which I have triple embossed with Gold Embossing powder. The bird and flower bud are stamps by Kanban, from their Birds Of Paradise- Humming Bird set, which have also been stamped and embossed. The butterfly stamps are by Crafty Individuals and is from their 'Conrinthian Butterfly's' stamp and has also been Gold Embossed. The flowers have been made with Woodware paper flowers, Perfect Pearl Mists, Marianne Designs Dies and Tonic Punches and the gold rhinestones were from my stash.

Thinking Of You

Hello, today I have another card to show you using the Kanban 'In The Garden' paper pad again. I have again decoupaged an image from the paper pad, and some corners that were included on the same sheet and used them under the acetate covered frame. The border was also cut from the same sheet and the script background paper came with the pack, but I have used a floral stamp from 'Birds Of Paradise- Hummingbird' by Kanban and a white and gold gel pen to create the pattern on the paper. The flowers were created using Marianne Design dies, a Tonic punch and some Woodware paper flowers. The pearls were from my stash. Thanks for looking and sorry about the glare from the acetate. This is a 7 x 8 inch card.

Just For You

Hello, today I have a card to show you using a paper pad from Kanban called 'In The Garden'. I have used two of the images and decoupaged them, and added some acetate behind to top frame, to resemble glass and also to protect the decoupage underneath, but it made it impossible for me to get a picture without the glare from the light above. The papers are also included in the paper pad, as was the tag that I stamped the sentiment onto, which was also a Kanban stamp. I have made flowers using Marianne Design Dies, Tonic punches and Woodware paper flowers. The pearl pin, pearls and lace were from my stash. This is an 8 x 8 inch card. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
